Narrative Washing
Why beast media stays important in the House of Lies when (lim [readership]→0)
By now it should be obvious the House of Lies runs on fake narratives that replace knowledge for NPCs. What makes it effective is that it’s so interwoven. Every component and pillar supports each others. Note how one scrap of nonsense can bubble out of the clown knowledge industry, get amplified by clown media, become policy of clown government, then drive institutions that run on official definitions.
Take the recent progression from [“the science”] → [fear the flu!] → [institutions & large businesses of every stripe throwing out basic moral order]. With each liar leaning on the others. As damning actual empirical evidence mounts across the spectrum that shooting poison was a terrible idea. The mainstream is still dodging this one hard - despite studies now clearing sacred peer review. The reality-facing lesson here is an important one. That “proving” you were right on their terms doesn’t get an admission, retraction, or any other acknowledgment of error. The screens just drop the topic. And for the NPCs, that’s as if it never was.
Readers know this, but it’s good to fix a common big picture starting point. Especially for a Substack that aims to be practical by focusing on smaller or subtler pieces. Individual-scaled things that people can adapt to their own circumstance. Either to do or to better understand. Like something this post calls narrative washing.
Ever wonder how beast media audiences are continually reported as shrinking but the same garbage outlets keep getting cited as authoritative? Even, in many cases, by the supposed alternatives. [CNN or the NYT or whatever says … ], as if they haven’t been known liars for decades now. Narrative washing is how chosen vectors filter unavoidable realities back into the House of Lies. It’s a huge under-the-radar part of narrative engineering. Because it pulls credibility from limited hangouts and other pseudo-alternatives to the mainstream.
This is timely because the Script is taking over the House of Lies wheel. The last post goes into it. The tl,dr is there are outlines of a clever game in play but I don’t think “Trump” is running anything. Occam’s Razor - a fugazi laser-pointer fronting a techno-luciferian group. No reason not to be hopeful for tangible improvements. But we have to wait and see what happens. Not that understanding the House of Lies is getting less important. Especially not in a world of AI NPC curation.

What brought this to mind was a big NYT Ukraine story a few months ago that first broke mainstream ice around that basket of lies. Don’t have the link and it’s not important to this post. For reality-facers, the article was just more after-the-fact clown twaddle. We’ve all seen plenty of examples. Grudging admission that parts of the fake narrative was too absurd, while keeping as much of the rest as possible. For the House of Lies, specifics are less important than the pattern.
Clown World isn’t just dishonest - it’s the diametric inverse of what’s true. The frequent use of “inverted” isn’t just rhetoric. It’s literally what clown world is. This makes it tricky to correct course when reality gets too insistent to ignore. An ordinary liar could acknowledge “error” and shift gears like someone mistaken does. But inverted is structurally opposite reality in a huge integrated structure. Any recognition of truth in any area crashes into all the lies surrounding and supporting it. Like having post vax reactions hand-waved away. With Ukraine, it’s forced recognition of one-sided slaughter slamming into years of inverted “reporting” on imaginary Ukraine successes.
The 10:1 ratio appears to have been pretty consistent through much of the SMO. The ghastly disregard for life shown in debacles like the “counter-offensive” and Kursk inverted into tales of Russian human wave attacks and shovel combat. But as the attrition wears, the discrepancy gets worse. Consider the body exchange trend shared by Simplicius in a recent post. What’s it at now? 20:1? Who knows?
Credible non-beast sources estimate Russian losses in the low six figures. ~150,000, including heavy use of Wagner and convicts in the early going. Corroborated by recruitment exceeding losses. That puts Ukraine/NATO in the >1.5 million range. More than the conservative official Russian count, but probably closer to reality. If I were emperor, understanding what “attrition” means would be a requirement to comment on the subject. Attrition is slow-motion collapse. There’s lots of time to spin fairy tales. For a while, anyhow. But there will come a point where the narrative has drifted too far from obvious reality to coexist. Ukraine is there. Hence the narrative wash.

The danger is that every break in the false reality is like a glitch in the Matrix. A chance for those who do learn to detect something wrong with what’s just taken for granted. To quote from the last post …
One constant with multi-part structures or networks - like political systems - relates to trustworthiness. Any dishonesty - contradictions, logical impossibilities, hand-waving, misinformation, rhetorical answers for factual questions, etc. - indicates the whole formation isn’t what it presents itself as.
It’s why continued drift will eventually break up under its own too obvious impossibility. But understanding the NPC majority - nearly all beast media consoomers - makes it easy to see how big shifts and glitches pass without a ripple. It’s one of the most unsettling things for FTS-1 information learners to watch. There are limits though. It’s why the narrative wash keeps as much of the overall inversion as possible while letting the minimum amount of reality in.
The logical question is what’s the point of slow-walking truth? Not in general. Truth is sunlight to a vampire for the House of Lies. But specific inevitabilities like Ukraine. Why not fail faster? Cut bait and move on? Slowing truth as much as possible buys time for … … the magic to happen? Unlike word spells, reality is real. It always shows eventually. Inverted loss disparities will out in time. Pointing to a few things.
Word magic is all the the beast has. Ukraine proves this. It has been obvious from the start that for whatever reasons, Ukraine is existentially important to the clowns. I don’t know why, but that doesn’t matter. What does is that it’s really important. When on the outside, general patterns are all we have. The reasoning here is basic. If something is that important and they had anything else, they’d have used it. But the reality part of Russia slowly wringing their necks makes some recognition unavoidable. Too much carnage. Keep in mind that this has nothing to do with “credibility” either. That’s irrelevant to beast mouthpieces. They direct NPCs emotionally. Since NPCs don’t remember things, accuracy is unimportant. What matters is if the platform is a [trusted source] in the unconscious base code.

The Times matters for its place in the narrative washing process. Not the size of readership. At present, the House of Lies still controls “mainstream discourse”. What screen-fed NPCs take as real. We just watched a perfect example - the whole poison roll out and collapse - in real time. Recall how no information from reality-facing non-beast sources could even register. It’s actually astounding to watch these “reveals” play out around stuff we’ve know for years.
The problem is larger than NPC misdirection. It’s that the entire modern West runs on inverted information processes.
Note how every major institution on every level operates as if [beast media] = [actionable truth]. No other source of information exists. Any contrary evidence is ignored until an authorized mouthpiece washes acknowledges it. While the NPCs accept the incestuous relation as [the way things are]. You even have people commenting that [story X on platform Y] is a “signal” that the narrative has shifted.
The point. Any change of direction has to enter that integrated House of Lies structure in a correct way. Only then, like the NYT on Ukraine, will shills feign shock while allowing no more truth than their fake source provides. The obvious counter is that the mainstream audience is also aging out. Gen Z for example consumes no legacy media at all. Which is where the fake counterculture from an earlier post comes in. Gatekeepers and narrative concierge services who hit younger. They also treat washed narrative like beast acknowledgement means … something? Logic fails, indicating we’re in the misty world of base codes.

The USAID impact remains to be seen. Traditionally, House of Lies vectors like the Times don’t need readership as long as they wash narrative. Like a money laundering front for the mob - no one cares if the coffee shop turns much profit so long as there’s enough customer activity for cover. Pseudo-alternative platforms can amplify and disseminate. And institutions set course accordingly.
There’s a parallel with the inversion of expertise and credentials in recent posts. Just like beast credentials have nothing to do with expertise, House of Lies media “prestige” is unrelated to readership or truth value. Even some reality-facing sites treat it as meaningful. The authority is so fixed in the base code, even those who should know better take note.

Anyhow, that’s narrative washing. Clown-friendly distortion that reframes reality’s impacts in narrative terms. By filtering minimum truth through accumulated lies. For as long as it lasts, anyhow. And that gets to the core issue that makes this important. Any dishonesty indicates the whole formation isn’t what it presents itself as. There is no reason to assume any intention - benevolent or not - from what the narrative tells us. Personal responsibility, not blackpilling. The House of Lies offers enfeeblement and dependency. The alternative maximizes antifragility with minimal system dependence. Both are right there. But only one has a pods and cricket paste future option.
The thing for the reality facing to keep in mind is who cares what beast trumpets are playing? In fact, it’s probably worth looking a little closer at those who do.
The lame stream media is the ideological enforcement arm of clown world. That is why the size of the audience does not matter to the clowns. They ARE the real audience, come to affirm their loyalty to the House of Lies, like you explain, Uncle John.
That is also why it is important for alternative thinkers to demean and mock Beast Media at every turn without tiring, even if using them ocasionally. Gerald Celente got that right all those many years ago. Vox explained how it works, the NPCs are vulnerable to emotional manipulation, not truth telling, treating them like idiots for believing Lies works better than dialetics.
Sorry, kept it as short as I could. 😁😉

It's not obvious how this ends. End it will, for sure. Yet 2020 events made it abundantly obvious most people make no distinction between truth and 'social truths'. It's been obvious for two decades media is moribund, but outside self-selecting communities, it's as though the last twenty years didn't happen. Most need socially consistent beliefs not internally consistent beliefs. Many people can't deal with ambiguity, and seek out ocial contexts where chooing between points of view is not required.
It's not clear there *is* a satisfactory ending. Truth seeking requires open acknowledgment of uncertainty and ambiguity, yet this is an anathema to many. Yarvin had a few good ideas once. He wrote about the need to build a 'truth machine': an instition to replace what he called the 'cathedral' (where 'cathedral' corresponded roughly to the House of Lies). Until we have something to replace the House of Lies that fulfills the same social purpose, how does it go away? How can anything not itself a House of Lies fulfill the social purpose of an unambigous and uncontroverisal set of beliefs?
Anyway, step one is to build the 'truth machinee', even if only 1% of 1% of the population acknowledge and participate in its authority. Others will follow, leading to some hard-to-see-past discontinuity. But we are not even at step one yet. We have many voices pointing at the the House of Lies saying 'that is not right, that is not right'. But no serious attempt to synthesize an alternative internally consistent worldview, albeit one with the the required tolerance for ambiguity to find new truths. We don't how this will look yet. It seems it must happen but how and when is a mystery. The House of Lies might have decades in it yet.
