Thought-provoking. Sheds light on certain formative experiences for which I blamed myself but I can now see an alternative interpretation, as well as more effective ways my father might have acted, tho he was more Alpha than anything.

It’s natural to blame yourself as a child because the distorted world view is imprinted as normal. Real experience data then seems “off” relationally. Where it goes from there depends of the child. Implications chain for me so one reveal can lead to total rejection. But if things seem more disconnected, a lot of self-abuse can follow. In any scenario, incoherent projection is toxic and should be avoided. Kids raised without trauma, irrationality, and emotional incontinence seem like another species.
