As the Game bros never tired of reminding us, by having and sticking to a frame of your own with real strength. Outside-In "fake it 'till you make it" frame generation is often (but not always) better than nothing, yet Inside-Out frame is always best. At the very least, the generated frame cannot be seriously incompatible with the internal frame.
Canada's problem is that they've stripped themselves of ANY internal frame, meaning that any broad reaction can only be driven by pulsing and fantasy. The classic Gamma "debonair gentleman" in a trench coat and fedora, with a katana made of plastic and bought from Spirit Halloween.
That can be OK as a semi-amusing distraction while people who Get It negotiate a workable future reality - but I don't see those people around.
A gas station without nukes. And waging war on the gas.
It’s not a serious country. Their public discourse is gender studies program-tier reality avoidant. The frame is debt, whining, and virtue signalling. I think it’s inevitable that The Script deals with them. Curious to see how.
If Canada were to become part of the United States the people would no longer have a King, except Jesus if they chose.
If The Script wants Canada, who could blame them. Farmland, resources, and keeping other countries from effectively taking it instead.
I went to elementary school briefly in the Vancouver, BC metro, and the only Chinese presence in my consciousness entered with Mr. Ho's Chinese restaurant, and apparently that opened in 1986. Things changed fast.
I grew up without ice but still getting bodychecked by my mother in the hallway.
John Carter is concerned that "nationalistic pulsing" is what the new leadership of Globohomo Liberals will try in Canada. We'll see what results actually come.
That has to be the play. On the average, Canadians are far more addicted to licking beast fingers than Americans. They have the parasitic smugness that comes from a mix of practical worthlessness and free money (debt and our subsidy). Look at them now, scurrying for another sugar daddy. Much like Gamma individuals, I think constantly masking patheticness with lies is psychically corrosive. There are a few orphans on closed social media that aren’t that way. Hence orphans. But there is no equivalent to the Scriptwriters or the counterculture, fake or real.
But given their hunger for self-immolation, The Script is going to have to deal with them permanently eventually.
When you said pre-thinkable, my mind immediately went to the old saying of "just add water." Like - "just add a drop of your attention to this dried up concept (embedded in the screen) and watch it bloom into a fully formed thought that you can call your own!" Pre thinking is genius, thank you.
"New ideas enter the mass discourse in ways that let them be thought and discussed. Essentially weaponized postmodernism."
Thinking in terms of weaponized post modernism is way more intuitive to me than "advertising and marketing", thank you.
I guess the overall process involves setting the frame yourself, then make it thinkable by the others.
Can you see any markers or patterns or key points that would help with "ease of thinkability"? I'm thinking about it like -the art and science of making new ideas mentally digestible for our esteemed companions.
Postmodernism was diabolically brilliant in its idiocy. Create a fake reality. Describe the fake reality as fake. Declare that therefore reality isn’t real. Make tenure/get book deal.
The problem with thinkability is that it’s an artifact of language and other sign systems we use for thinking and communication. It’s how the thoughts are shaped. I don’t think in words, so I’m more conscious of the limits. Finding how to express non-verbal ideation in an understandable way. The amount of pictures and graphics in my writing is one way.
Try and be attentive to little glitches in the matrix where the content doesn’t fit the form. I rejected the !vax for the family before it came out. Because the [safe and effective] claims were literally impossible without longitudinal data. They couldn’t know that and had to be lying. [Health officials prioritize health] was base code. The lie pointed to that assumption needing rethinking. The way one impossibility collapses the longest narrative. But mainly it’s accepting that we are semiotic creatures and being aware that words and things aren’t the same.
For me, reading Marshall McLuhan has been somewhat helpful. Understanding how medium, images, structure of words and placement carry meaning beyond the words and their meaning.
Syntax and semantics. Linguistics think of them as rules, but they’re second and third order meaning makers. McLuhan absolutely identified that the delivery mode is more significant than the content - for NPCs.
The way screens can swap in for lived reality is on the subconscious level is something books and even still images lack. That’s got to be neurophysiologically different. Somewhere in the gestalt process, [screen) and [reality] fit the same keyhole.
For some NPCs, it could be as simple as the screen is a window into a walled garden, where the the grass is greener, or it is Alice Through the Looking Glass. The desired reality is more appealing than the lived, and it can be seen.
Adam Savage's perennial line of "I reject your reality and substitute my own", which is cribbed from a Tom Baker Doctor Who episode, sums up the supposed effect. While Savage may not take this literally, apparently some NPCs do.
That’s the centralization. The village NPC was controlled locally. Drected by local customs and status hierarchies imprinted IRL. One unfortunate discovery was that NPCs easily replace reality perception with screens. That there isn’t a meaningful difference in consciousness formation. The hypnotic lights are part of it, but that just grabs the attention. It’s what happens next that transformed [imaginative farmer or tradesman] into [gibbering, self-destructive functional retard].
It’s something I keep bumping into because I don’t know how to counter it. Even theoretically. It needs the very self-consciousness that they lack. Just attend to yourself, influence those you can, and remember the gate is a narrow one. If they’re committed to error, dust, sandals.
"It’s what happens next that transformed [imaginative farmer or tradesman] into [gibbering, self-destructive functional retard]."
Garbage In Garbage Out.
Special effort to update programming, like it would to epigenetically update DNA. Right environmental influence, or spiritually greenlit. What makes a person want to learn/look/investigate, open a mind portal? Love (including strong natural inclination to learn about or solve), necessity (including social), or carnival lights. What makes the mind's eyes grow.
"NPCs need pre-existing terms or structures to think something. They can’t generate the kind of ideas that need new words or framing."
This works in the opposite direction as well. Clown World's relentless demolition of our intellectual history (hell, just take the last 100 years, never mind the last 500) has more than likely eliminated some very useful "pre-existing terms or structures" that once allowed an individual to parse reality more effectively. When concepts and ideas are memory-holed, it robs us of potential processing power.
"So how to respond to strategic framing?"

China already owns BC, and Indians are literally squatting on the rest.

100 or 200 years ago, it was easier for most to be Amish in their framing and habits.
That has been destroyed. It is a struggle to disconnect from the crazy.
Screens are powerful.
Central control of NPC.
Id guess most humans were always thus, but controlled locally.

To paraphrase Eugene Gendlin: "If your new idea is perfectly clear, that's because it isn't yours."
Exactly.
